“While preparing for our Now Gen Takeover, I took a moment to reflect on my journey as a worship leader. I wanted to put myself back in the shoes of a young girl 10 years ago who was given a chance to lead her first song ever at Tradewinds (Soquel) — Oceans. If it weren’t for two very patient, encouraging, kind leaders (Chris and Amy Matley), I’m not sure I would’ve ever had the reps or confidence to lead worship today. Because of amazing adults who empowered me and believed in me, I grew musically and spiritually. That’s why I’m so excited for this Sunday to have the privilege of being led by the next generation.
